Hellmann's Mayonnaise - do the glass jars normally have a plastic seal around the lid?

I've not bought Hellmann's mayo for well over a year but recently had a hankering for some and bought a couple of 400g jars as part of my weekly Sainsburys shop. However, neither jar has a plastic seal around the lid. I was sure that they used to have a plastic seal. Has this been discontinued as part of a cost cutting…

I don’t think it does, but one I had didn’t ‘pop’ when I opened it and I had no idea if it had been opened in the shop.
