Although I think you should get your money back, there is always the risk that this doesn't happen; so you need to bear in mind that you could end up footing the bill. In any case, you have an obligation to keep costs reasonable. So indirect flights via Spain must be a possibility. Your call on how you feel about this both in terms of the hassle of changing planes and the increased risk of Covid19 by going home this way. (There is also the possibility that the Canaries comes off the requirement to isolate on your return, but a change at Madrid will mean you have to isolate.)I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
