Trouble with Ryanair

Options
We had a flight booked with Ryanair on March 10th. I had to cancel as my husband was admitted to hospital with heart failure.  I have forwarded the documents from the hospital by uploading but have heard nothing.  I’ve rung...no answer after a wait of an hour, I’ve tried the chat bot ..no reply. I’ve tried resubmitting the form and they said no I can’t resubmit. I’ve tried ringing again and again!
Is there anything else I can do? Do they even refund under these circumstances?

It would be very unlikely Ryanair would refund you. Your travel insurance should cover it unless your husband's medical condition is specifically excluded.

You booked a non refundable flight (and were happy to do so as you agreed to those terms) and I assume the flight wasnt cancelled. You wont get a penny out of Ryanair, speak to your insurers.

Very happy to prove you both wrong! Have just received full refund from Ryanair after submitting the claim almost six months ago, So, bradders1983 you might like to rethink your definitive answer which was totally wrong before dishing out incorrect information. At least JPears left a little wriggle room.
Anyway very happy now and anyone still waiting...well there’s always hope

Hmm. You clearly caught someone on a good day there then. Well done.
