We have rang them repeatedly this morning.A different receptionist each time promises to forward the message.0

You are assuming that the three beneficiaries all have equal shares in the estate. If this is not the case, that could explain the discrepancy, but you do need to have full figures or at least an explanation.1

Thank you for taking the time to replyThey are all siblings; so, under the rules of intestacy, they all inherit equal shares. You are right: I do need to have the full figures.0

Are there only 3 beneficiaries? You know of you and your sibs but maybe there are others?1
-
In the first letter, they stated there were only three benaficieries after researching the family tree. There was no indication there were anymore or that they were continuing their search. We've been contacting the firm all day but they are not returning our calls.0
-
hmm very fishy not being able to contact them - keep us posted1

If you didn't agree to use their services or sign any agreement/contract with them then you are entitled to your full 33% share (assuming there are three equal beneficiaries). They can only take their fees from those who signed up with them.1

Again, many thanks for taking the time to replyI've decided to:(1) Write a follow up email to the telephone calls.(2) NOT cash the cheque. This might be seen as acceptance of some legal relationship.TonyMMM, I will check to see if they can only take their fees from those who signed up with them. This is wild stuff. 85%!I'm going to fight this. Will keep you all updated.0
