Agree 100% the airline industry is going to have to pass its losses on in the future and the same threads started by people on here about them not just blanket cancelling will be the same ones moaning when flight costs go up. I booked a trip once the ferries were back up and running and now my main source insurance will (well I assume it will in 4 weeks time) won’t cover I have sourced alternative. I am still aware I could lose out or have to take a voucher of lockdown accelerates but that’s life, for now anyway.

The issue for the entire travel industry is that losses are only sustainable to a certain point. Once the individual business reaches the point of insolvency then the Directors have legal responsibilities to cease trading. The longer this epidemic drags on the greater the number of casualties there'll be.

Summer 2020 season is all but a dead duck.    Hundreds of millions of pounds to be refunded to customers for cancelled travel.  With the Spain situation last weekend, any consumer confidence left will have evaporated.  Forward bookings for Winter 20/21 and Summer 21 will be minuscule as customers "wait and see".  The outlook is very bleak indeed for the travel industry.
