Is anyone else having problems logging into Shawbrook Bank?
I haven't been able to log in all day. After entering name and password i just get a busy spinner and it eventually times-out. Tried using Chrome and Firefox browsers, same problem.

It's a tad slow but I was able to log in just now, using Chrome.
Have you tried deleting cookies and browsing history?0 -
Connection ok here on Chrome. As has been suggested previously clear your browsing history etc.0

Thanks for the suggestions. In Chrome, cleared cookies, history and cache. Restarted Chrome. If anything it's even worse. Now the username/password page will not load - just times out.I've been able to log into my other bank accounts fine, it is just Shawbrook that has the problem. I can't ever remember being effectivley locked out of an account all day before. I'm not impressed.I will give it a try again tomorrow.0

I had been trying since yesterday lunchtime. Still the same problem this morning. Tried 2 different computers, 3 different browsers with cleared cookies and cache. Even tried temporarily disabling my AntiVirus. So I've just rang them up. The customer service person told me my balance and interest rates over the phone which is what I needed this time. But they said that the login problem is caused by Three (my mobile broadband supplier). They say that Three are not processing the javascript properly which is preventing login. It is a known problem and they have been trying to contact Three to get the problem resolved, but they are not getting any response from them. He checked with his IT guy while I was waiting, and it is still an outstanding issue. As I pointed out to them, Three seem to be able to process every other Bank's javascipt OK, so Three are quite likely to just blame Shawbrook's javascipt skills. I asked him to log my complaint in the hope that it might up the priority of the problem. As a Shawbrook customer, it doesn't matter whether it is Shawbrook or Three to blame, if I can't use Shawbrook's services I'll just have to leave them.So if anyone else is experiencing this problem, and if what they say is correct, then it sounds like the only workaround is to connect via another broadband provider. This isn't something I can easily do, and I don't fancy using internet banking via public WiFi.0

Javascript is not dependent on the internet provider, mobile or otherwise. It is processed on the browser side, and loaded with the rest of the files. If you have access to another non-Three connection (desktop or a hotspot), try it with that. If it still doesn't work its not a Three issue.

It's probably an over-simplified explanation, and maybe not even actually Javascript.I don't have access to any other broadband provider, so when I need to log in next time it looks like I am going to have to grit my teeth and find a public WiFi access point.0

"downforeveryoneorjustme.com" (and Down Detector and whatever else) only checks to see if the server responds. That's it. It will not check if a website has a javascript error, doesn't render properly or has some other display/functionality issue, all it will do is go "can I see shawbrook.co.uk, does it respond, yes it does/no it doesn't, here's some blah to read, I'm going home."
