I'm not sure why OP can't just hold onto it for the next time they need SD? Obviously it's not a common occurrence but also not impossibly rare *shrug*0

I reuse every single cardboard envelope and jiffy bag that I receive, I stick new stamps over old ones, never had any problems with RM.
The special delivery bags are hard to reuse though - I used to sell them to Ocado for 5p each (Ocado sometimes puts purchases in similar bags, so they are accepted) but they've stopped doing that for the moment.0 -
