Can anyone have a go at explaining why the front and rear plates are different..? I can't get my head around this - it can't possibly be a 56 plate vehicle. I keep having to have another look to check it's not some kind of optical illusion.
Any other comments on the car would be welcome. I think it looks like reasonable value, but the plates thing is putting me off somewhat!

the plates have been made up incorrectly the 6 and 5 have been accidentally swapped
the simple answers are often the correct ones
  • Is it a really bad cut&shut  B)

As above, mistake in making a plate.
Just ask the dealer what happened.

Front plate possibly used to fill up with fuel, they forgot to swap them back before the photos were taken for the add.  Rear is the correct plate.

Ah, OK. I guess it didn't occur to me that second hand car dealers put new plates on old cars.

No car dealer in the land would advertise this like it is, they are mention to be "professionals" after all.

Years ago, I bought a car from a dealer like that, 2 digits transposed in the front plate.
I drove it like it for a couple of years, then cracked the front plate. When I got a new one, made from the rear plate (No I haven't a clue what my registration is, then or now) It was different to the one I took off!

How unfortunate it would be to get 'plates made with 2 letters transposed by mistake, that produced a reg. matching another otherwise identical car, likely sold by the same dealer.......

I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

(except air quality and Medical Science ;))

Look closely at the wrong front plate...

"PUDSEY SERVICE CENTRE" on the bottom.
And who's selling it? Pudsey Service Centre.

Maybe it had a vanity plate on it before it came in, maybe they simply chuck a pair of plates at everything they sell as a cheap bit of ongoing advertising. That theory's definitely working for the last lot to sell it used, Glyn Longley Specialist Cars...

KU56AHV on a 2015 car with KU65AHV on the back...? Occam's Razor applies as firmly as ever.
KU56 is a Renault Scenic., KU65 fits the car.

Umm, did you consider looking at your V5C at any stage...? How have you insured and taxed it...?

The Seat must have come in with cracked front plate and been renewed for sale.  OP may want to check there was not more extensive front end damage.

The plates both ends have the garage's brand on them.
