NS&I DIRECT ISA

Hi there, I would like to switch my cash ISA from my bank to NS&I Direct isa. Does anyone know if I can transfer the full amount of my ISA into the new one or I can only transfer the permitted allowance for the current financial year?
Thanks

You can't open a Direct ISA if you've subscribed to another cash ISA in the current tax year or transfer other ISAs in to the account.  It does say that in big letters on the product page on the NS&I site!
