Boiler not working - who to call?

    ok, reset your boiler again and watch the pressure gauge to see if it rises. If it rises, to around 3 bar before the boiler cuts out, it could be your PRV or expansion vessel. Your boiler cover should cover repairing this.

    I've tried this and watched it for about 5 minutes. The pressure gauge hasn't moved

    OK. It might be time to use that boiler repair cover you're paying for then. It might be struggling to ignite for some reason.

    All fixed now. Was a problem with the secondary heat exchanger apparently

    I doubt that very much given the symptoms you described but as long as it's working & it didn't cost you anything all is good

    You're probably right as it has stopped working again! They are coming back out tomorrow.
