Hi all,
I may have to move and with Covid-19  I can only work from home. However, the new place does not have a BT line so I have potentially got a period with no internet.
Is there any temporary internet provider I could use whilst BT connect me (BB with BT too)? I just co don’t afford any time without broadband.
I should just add that halo might be a solution but this is some £9 more expensive than my current package and means taking n a new 2-year contract.
thanks

If there is no phone line there's no other solution really than mobile broadband assuming you have a decent signal from a provider.

Do you know how much data you would use doing what you do? If not you could tell me the type of tasks you do and I could calculate it.

5g router is the best option if you must get online...

    Hi all,
    sorry been busy.
To be safe unlimited might be necessary for work purposes. I done a check and unfortunately there is no 5G yet in the area.

3G/4G should be fine, get something like a Huawei B311 router, and pop in a SIM card, something like a Smarty (on the Three network) will cost you about £20 for unlimited data, Giffgaff (on O2) do a similar offer for a larger amount of data) - both PAYG type.

If you are short of money and don't want a router/mifi/dongle, then you can tether a mobile phone instead
