Why is my house not selling?

Kinger101 appreciate your comments. We certainly didn’t get much help from Purplebricks when we first listed and my lack of experience selling (been in the same house for 17 years) didn’t help either. We are now listed with a local EA who are working hard, and the viewings have picked up to round 6 a week.0

holyrottweiler said:It looks like a beautiful house and well decorated, so wouldn't worry about it not selling. Agreed with above comment though - I'd change Purplebrick to elsewhere and probably sell in a year or two down the line. Do you have to sell now or can you wait?0

We have found a lovely house that we have had an offer accepted on, so I guess we are desperate to sell in order not to lose the other house! We had quite a few viewings and 2 offers, both below 190k which is crazy. We remortgaged last year and the bank valued our home at over 200k. Shared parking in our area is a problem, but houses with a driveway in our neighbourhood start at 220k.0

Looks like a nice property. Selling can take time. I had very unsuccessful attempts at trying to simply view with Purple Bricks so much so that I avoided viewing any with them.kinger101 said:

The price changes make no sense, just makes it look like either desperate, a vendor who will change their mind, or a vendor who would gazump for £1,000 more.
The date period so far pretty much covers most of lockdown, if we assume that people have only been willing to go out since the start of July.
I'd pull the PB listing and keep the estate agent one. Give it some more time.

Well I think it looks lovely, inside and out. It'd be a great shame if you had to sell it for much less than it's worth. Can you hang on? Lockdown is certainly not over yet, in spite of what many people may think. People are still dying of coronavirus, which is a definite sign that we still have some way to go. I've been isolating and still am, not going anywhere yet. And won't for a while yet either.
I really would wait, if you're not desperate. Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. I think it’s a great house, and I cannot really see why you are selling. People are delaying having children, and you could be rattling around in the new home for years before grandchildren arrive. Our first grandchild only appeared a few months ago, and our children are in their thirties. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

The downstairs and garden looks nice but the upstairs and bathroom pictures not so good. The pricing history looks desperate, I know some agents manage to remove a lot of that history from Zoopla , see if yours can?1
