You were clearly speaking with an idiot

If they were stupid enough to start a court clam, your defence is 'this debt is in DRO numbered XX dated YY'

    It's a complete defence

Just ignore everything you get unless you get an actual claim form from an actual court

    Thank you so much Fatbelly.
The first line of your response 'honestly' made me smile... then chuckle.
The rest of your reply has put me at ease. Thank you so much; most highly appreciated.
    Kind regards

Quarter of the year into my DRO, the past three months seem to have flown by. It seems like just 2 weeks ago that I was gathering the up to date balance of my accounts. I still feel apprehensive, and can't believe I will be debt free in 9 months.

  • Time will fly i gave 3 months left nothing to be apprehensive about

    Diary entry
Six months have flown by; now half way through my DRO.
A quick update regarding Provident (Satsuma). They upheld my complaint acknowledging 'their' Insolvency Team had received correspondence confirming that I had entered into a DRO, and that they 'should of applied the appropriate block code to the account'  As this was not done, the collections team followed the arrears process. They have apologised for the inconvenience caused and have amended my credit file, changing the 'Delinquent' status to 'Default' and changed the date to that of the DRO.
    Kind regards

I think one of the hardest things is trying to correct information that is held by companies and making sure it's up to date and that you're not being pursued all because computer says no or doesn't know what a DRO is

Time does fly and in 6 months you'll be free. My DRO ends in 2 weeks, not that I'm counting, and I spent the first lockdown ensuring that all my accounts were defaulted with the correct date and had a few battles with one company who were just incompetant like Satsuma

Not long to go now and you'll be debt free...it'll fly by!

    Hi 1977dave
Thank you for your reply. I am so pleased to hear that your DRO will finish in 2 weeks time; congratulations. I sincerely wish you every happiness and success with the fresh start of living a debt free life.
After carrying the burden of debt for so many years, in just 6 months, I will have a fresh start of living my life debt free (I can't even begin to describe how good that will feel after years of debt misery).
    Kind regards
