I have around 2000 due and saved up. Is it worth deferring til Jan for any reason?

Completely up to you. I've paid mine, just to make sure that I don't get to January and find I've not saved enough up. If however you are totally out of money then use it, but do remember it will need paying in January, along with the first instalment of next years payment.0
