Close but no cigar. Rule of a roundabout (of whatever size) is give way to traffic from the right.
That's correct, but the video shows the van at the line before the video car, and the video car not slowing on approach to the roundabout made it closer than it would have been had the video car been driving sensibly.  If anything the video car speeds up.  Just because you have priority, doesn't mean you should steamroller ahead.  If anything, the van had right of way as it was already past the give way line.

The clue is in the "give way" markings.

So had the van pulled a U-turn, he'd have smashed into the dashcam car from it's right.

Would still have gone 50:50 though, it is always 50:50 on a roundabout ;)

I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

(except air quality and Medical Science ;))

Still no cigar. There is a number of rules, one of which (185) says "watch out for all other road users already on the roundabout".
  • Perhaps it's the one by Andy Mc he didn't like most.  Anyone remember him?
Would that be the guy that had a bad attitude, answered questions with a question or a one sentence fishing line.

Also inferred they were a police officer but was showed up as clueless by many posters?
I wonder if he will come back ;)

    Video removed.

I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

No, it isn't. Not when one person has clearly done nothing wrong. It's just that that's rarely the case...

May be they have already returned and been removed numerous times before and since  ;)

But we digress, the person that posted the YouTube video needs driver retraining.
