Good news 247moneybox paid up yesterday. £1180 which I'm very pleased with. That's all my complaints complete. 5 companies all with some sort or redress and removal of entries from credit file. Thanks everyone for your support. It's taken 7months but has been well worth it0

Ive got about 4 accounts with shop direct, one of them at a debt collectors so no interest, but the others I'm paying through a dmp and the payment is almost as much as the interest, I've worked out that I'll be well over 100 years old by the time it's paid off!
Hi illegally blonde, sorry to hijack, but i've got some money back from Shop Direct, nearly £500 in interest and fees from the last 6 months before my I entered DMP, I just wrote to them with the same template i used for my PDLs, I wasn't expecting any redress but felt like being cheeky!
You should at least ask them to freeze interest on the accounts on your DMP, they have for me!
Good luck0 -
Mr Lender replied.
A 3-4 page letter basically saying they acted responsibly and did nothing wrong. Quoted what I told them at the time and that it was affordable based on that and that my score was 544 which was okay.
All they have offered to do it recall it from the dca, remove the charges and interest and put it back to the original balance of £250. They also said they would knock it down to £194, and that was their final response.
Thoughts?
They said I had no details at the time, so I will double check my report as they all happened at a similar time I believe.0 -

if unhappy, raise it to the fos what do they mean no details?
all you need to do is ask for a statement of account work out what you think was unaffordable.
they've given you their final response
you need to raise to the FOS and give your side clearly to them.. they will decide.
most i have dealt with have been pretty fair and empathetic towards me.0 -
Sorry was on iPhone. That should say defaults.
My defaults came after, but the breakdown they gave that I said (I must have) wasn't very accurate0 -
I emailed my complaint off to Sunny on monday evening but have had no acknowledgement at all. Does anyone know how long they usually take to acknowledge that I've made the complaint?0
