Hi all,
I responded to Wonga's email declining their offer, then received an email today stating that it was their final response and that I now need to wait for FOS to complete their investigation, I'm now starting to doubt whether I'll be entitled to anything at all, as surely with them issuing their final response they really do feel that they've done nothing wrong?
I am having the same, wonga offered me £2470, although i borrowed 15k over 3 years, I worked my repayment to be near 4K interest + fees maybe more.
I want all of the interest and fee's as in my case wonga clearly and repeatedly allowed me to roll over my loans while I had loans with about 4 other companies i told them of financial troubles
but I have sent my adjudicator so much information proving they are in the wrong which she agree's with, although she tried saying small loans were affordable in most pdls but in my case I started with £300 quid went to £500 down to £100 then straight back up 600-700- 900- 1000+ I am arguing just because it was a small loan does not mean it was affordable, wonga Knew what they were doing and repeatedly.
wonga, have not sent their case file through to her so we are stuck waiting for them to respond.0 -
Hi Grantos,
Is Credit expert Experian? I only ask as on another thread the Experian Rep has stated that Wonga no longer report to Experian so they no longer publish details of their loans on your Experian File.
You might want to just double check Noddle or clear score to see whats being reported by call credit and equifax.

Once a complaint is registered the PDL tend to wipe out your credit report with them. It is so you can not work out how much the greedy bar stewards have taken off you in charges and interest. Bank statements are brilliant, do not be shocked when you look at how much you have repaid the Predators in Interest and Charges.0

Credit Expert is Experian, I monitor my credit rating closely and they were only removed very recently as i mentioned. They aren't showing on clear score either.0

My advice would be to download your credit report prior to making any complaints. You will then have a permanent record of all of your borrowings before the PDLs remove traces of their irresponsible practices. In the long term you want rid of as many PDLs from your credit report as possible, however in the short term you need everything to be on it as it will be evidence of your financial difficulties. If you download new credit reports for each complaint you run the risk of some loans not being there, and therefore the loans may have looked more affordable than they should have been.
I used a free trial from Checkmyfile.co.uk which pulls data from all 3 credit reference agencies. Make sure you cancel before the trial period ends otherwise it'll start charging you.0 -

Yes I know I've been a member for years. All previous Wonga loans were present until this month when they were removed at my request 😀0 -
Hi
Newbie here, ive been reading this forum with great interest, and its inspired me to reclaim against the payday loan companies.
I got into a bad way with these loans, to the point whereby as soon as i got paid my wages would go to paying them, leading me to immediately reloan, sometimes on the day i'd been paid.
The main 2 were:
Payday Uk
Poundstilpayday (i know:()
I also used:
Quickquid
Lending Stream
Poundstopocket
Sunny
Wnga
Satsuma
MyJar
Anyway I asked for a refund from all, except poundstilpayday, and have just received an offer from payday UK.
Heres what they say:
As an existing PaydayUK customer you completed an application for credit on 20 November 2010.
You confirmed your personal details, including your net monthly income evidencing the loan was
affordable to you. You electronically signed your new loan agreement consenting to our terms and
conditions and Privacy Policy. Given the information provided your application was accepted pending
our internal and external final checks.
Following our final checks being completed the loan sum of £200.00 was deposited to your chosen
bank account on 21 November 2010. This left you with a repayment of £250.00 (£200.00 loan
principal, £50.00 contractual interest) due on 17 December 2010. In line with the Continuous Payment
Authority (CPA) you had consented to under the terms and conditions of your loan agreement your
payment of £250.00 was received and the loan settled.
Following this you received fifteen further loan deposits, choosing to defer your loans on twenty two
occasions. This lending was provided to you at your request and left you with a final repayment due of
£831.16 (£639.60 loan principal, £191.56 contractual interest) due on 30 May 2014.
On 24 May 2014 you contacted PaydayUK requesting to defer the repayment of your loan due to an
unexpected expense. Unfortunately PaydayUK advised that we were unable to authorise another
deferral on your account and offered a reduced monthly repayment plan, consisting of three monthly
payments of £250.00 and a final payment of £81.16, to which you agreed. Your loan was settled upon
your final payment of £81.16 being received on 29 August 2014.
The 15 other loans were for between £500-£750, as i would always borrow the full amount on offer, and as you can see deferred loans 22 times.
They have offered me a refund of £1212.10.
I would love some advice on whether to accept this or take my case to the FOS
Many thanks for reading0
