Hi Stuart30, its usually interest and charges that are claimed back. Can add up to a tidy sum if repeated borrowing has occurred.

Hi Stuart30, you may have some charges, just check through the Statement of Accounts. I paid back all my loans on time however there are some charges on my accounts. Be patient:cool:

Hi just a quick update, nothing really exciting tho i sent emails to half of the pay day lenders 2 weeks ago, ive just today sent the rest of the cpmpalints - ive sent complaints to -

Peachy - they have replied claiming they did no wrong and now ive sent the compaint to the FOS but have not heard back from them just a automated response saying they got my email

Pounds to pocket - have emailed asking me to provide more information

wage day - have sent a letter confirming they have recvd my compalint

sunny - have had no response from at all, ive emailed them again today to confirm my complaint has been recvd.

    today i sent emails to
    payday uk
Uncle buck - i still have 1 loan outstanding
    Cash 4 u now - i still have 1 loan outstanding
Avant credit - i still have 1 loan outstanding
wonga - asked for my statements from 2012 as i had loans with them.

just a question? - is it worth contacting the FOS as i sent them my complaint 2 weeks ago now and not heard back anything? or do i need to just wait?

i'm hoping ill get some refund from at least 1 of these lenders!!!!

Hi LMJ10, The PDL has 8 weeks to respond. Go on the FOS website and have a read, some interesting stuff on there. You can look at claims that have been upheld or not upheld, it is interesting reading.

    Best to just wait.

Both the payday loan companies, and the FOS are swamped with complaints of this nature at present, they will get round to dealing with you.

Hi guys can I join in on this thread please? I was pointed in this direction by Delete33 and Sourcrates (thank you peeps!)

This is the point I'm up to so far.....

79 loans from Wonga (£100-£200 each loan) over the course of 18 months which ended in an eventual debt relief order. All successive loans, pay loan off then 2-3 days after payday needed another loan.

I actually contacted a company to handle the complaint on my behalf (I know it's kind of frowned upon but I genuinely don't have time to deal with this as I work FT (shift work as well), I attend uni and have a 4 year old) and I had the complaint acknowledged 15th April.

I had an email on 10th June saying that they are still working on my complaint and 'aim to complete the investigation within the next 6 weeks'.......is this acceptable? Seems a bleddy long time since the original complaint :( Should I be pushing the company a bit harder to get this resolved?

sacha28, The PDL are snowed under at the moment, you should have dealt with this on your own with help and support from MSE posters. The FOS do everything for you after 8 weeks of waiting for FREE. You will have to be patient and calm.

Thanks delete I will be patient. As I said, I simply don't have the time to deal with Wonga, it was stressful enough getting them to accept the DRO and remove the repeated defaults they kept placing on my file. The OR and Experian ended up stepping in as they just disregarded everything I told them.

Just to clarify.....are you saying that the FOS can take it from here, seeing as more than 8 weeks have passed?

Yes, once the 8 weeks are up ask for a final response. Still complete your complaint on line to the FOS, it is your right to escalate after 8 weeks.
