Wickes leaving site car park ticket

Why don't you go back to Wickes?
Speak to the manager. Point out to him that you were planning on buying a new kitchen and bathroom there but are now having second thoughts. Ask him to arrange for the parking charge to be cancelled.4 -
I did speak to the manager, the excuse is "Wickes do not own the land, the landlord contracts out the car park monitoring to UKPC". He went on to say there are plenty of signs, I could always try appealing the ticket but there was nothing he could do.2

Who is 'the landlord'? Complain to them.4

It appears to be managed by Completely Retail. Contact details on their website.4 -
"I did speak to the manager, the excuse is "Wickes do not own the land,"let the CEO at head office know that your £££ is going else where ....read the newbies thread .... it's practically impossible for a PPC to prove and win a leaving the site scam

there was a recent win on here in similar circumstances where the boundaries of the site were not defined, so plenty of similar cases, but the M A complaint or landowner complaint is best, plus emailing the WICKES CEO as well

If this went to court they might well struggle. A judge might think that it was an unfair term in a consumer contract under the CRE 2015.
Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP., it can cause the scammer extra costs, and in some cases, cancellation.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up later this year,
Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these companies, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

You never know how far you can go until you go too far.1 -
Returning to the car we had received a £100 ticket for leaving the site from UKPC.
Oh dear, are the daft UKPC still on the "driver left site" wheeze. They have NEVER won such rubbish ........ have they sent you proof of their predatory action ?
The last time I helped someone with the UKPC junk, they wrote back saying they would have to ask the warden ..... ????
Some of these companies really do live in the clouds and probably believe in fairies and goblinsAsk them for photographic proof

It is not a fine. If the landowner won't cancel this, then appeal to UKPC using the template in blue text from the first post of the NEWBIES. SEnd it unaltered from The Keeper.
If/when it is rejected, appeal to PoPLA using all the points available to you from the third post of the NEWBIES.
Get pictures of the site and signage. I doubt the site boundary will be defined either by a description or a map, so it will be impossible for a motorist to know whether or not they have left the site.
In addition, why didn't the parking weasel mitigate his company's loss by warning the motorists they would incur a charge if they left the site?I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks2 -
Absolutely go for it with your landowner complaint. Do not allow any 'what's the point?' thoughts to hold you back.
You know that the parking charge is absurd, everybody who has replied to you has confirmed that it is absurd, but UKPC will continue to harass you because so many people would take fright and pay up. The landowner needs to know that a customer at B&Q has been royally scammed. Emphasise that you were customers, that you were researching for a much bigger purchase, express your outrage vehemently if politely and insist that they cancel this ridiculous charge.3
