Good riddance Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc!

The actual bank branches are still called "Royal Bank of Scotland" or "RBS". I have noticed on some website pages it is referred to as the "Royal Bank". The brand will still exist in the public eye. Perhaps they have plans to scrap the brand in a few years.

The RBS moniker has been scrapped completely in favour of the full name, Royal Bank of Scotland, because this is regarded as much less toxic than the three letters on their own.  My local branch has already been rebranded from RBS to Royal Bank of Scotland and any that still have RBS above the door will soon be updated.  
In Scotland, Royal Bank of Scotland has long been referred to just as Royal Bank for short, -it helps to distinguish it from their rival, the Bank of Scotland.
