The cheese offer tempted me into Lidl yesterday, as usual I got more, mainly baking stuff as it had gone down quite a lot, so £23.39 / £300. spent.£71.93/ £180.007

£42.99 added today for a 6-month supply of cat kibble for 3 adult cats, one of them the size, and with the appetite, of a small snow leopard. They do also have wet food, bought monthly via the dreaded Amaz0n, for £22, so altogether they cost us around £30 a month to feed, which seems reasonable to me although neither are the cheapest available. We've always felt that good food underpins good health, for pets & livestock as well as humans.Angie - GC Aug25: £106.61/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)7

NSD number 2 today. Not sure how bad the roads are as I haven't heard as many ambulance sirens today (the big hospital is very close to us and when the traffic is bad they have to use sirens) but I'm still not taking the car out. We don't need anything anyway. There's not enough milk to make a batch of waffles but the HT can have cornflakes or toast for breakfast tomorrow.7

£23.47 spent this week. Now living with a flatmate so we've been doing a lot of cooking together - good in some ways because it's a bit easier to cook for two, but bad in others because he keeps adding snacks and wine to the cart and once it's in the basket I'm a sucker for a box of lindor!
This week the plan is to make a range of things including some ravioli with homemade sauce and tacos, but will probably also spend on a Chinese later in the week.Grocery Challenge

£7.30 at M&S on fruit, veg, and a packet of fizzy dinosaurs as they were 25p :-)
Would have been cheaper if I'd got organised in time to go to Tesco.. but I didn't.
So I have some rather expensive but lovely baby cabbage to turn into quick pickles.2021 GC £1365.71/ £24007 -
Greetings from America. @elsiepac I’d like to rejoin you all please. Things got really hectic over here the last couple months and I’m starting to feel more stabilized again since I’m not restocking my pantry as much anymore. For July, I actually tracked my spending off the boards and my total came to $329.79. This is less than it has been since April. For August, could you please put me down for
$300.00
I’ve already spent $145.74 so have $154.26 left to spend for the rest of August. My freezer and fridge are packed with chicken, beef (steak and ground beef), pork, bacon, fish, duck, vegetables, cheeses, and almond flour to bake some lower carb treats. My one, small cupboard is also full with items like sardines, grains, etc. I see the remainder of the balance as a way to refill on fruit and veg each week going forward. I’d like to keep it to $275 but let’s see. If there are some nice cuts of meat, I may pick that up but not sure. I’d like to regain some freezer space first.P. S. This budget solely covers me, living on my own in New York City so it may seem high at times.7
