Hi,
Can someone please tell me how to stop these little pop-up videos playing in Chrome browser? Is it possible?
I don't wish to change browsers and these are really irritating.
Cheers,
MBE

If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

uBlock Origin. No adverts and no popups on websites and even blocks youtube adverts.
You should probably mention the site, assume you posted a picture which wont play videos?

ublock origin doesn't deal with the likes of the dailymail0

Too many sites to list...there are hundreds that do this. Yes, it's a picture - that particular one was Cycling Weekly, but newspapers seem particularly aggressive with them.forgotmyname said:uBlock Origin. No adverts and no popups on websites and even blocks youtube adverts.

I'll try the uBlock and see if it helps, thanks. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

It doesn't block them with the standard install ... maybe it does with some tweaking, but I've never tried to do that with such popup videos.0

You will have to create a rule in uBlock Origin to block them. Use the element picker when one appears to select the pop up and create the rule.mrbadexample said:

As above, try creating the rule in uBlock and it should work.0

This doesn't work, unless I'm doing something wrong.wongataa said:You will have to create a rule in uBlock Origin to block them. Use the element picker when one appears to select the pop up and create the rule.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
