Unwanted email notifications

I am getting email notifications from this thread even though it is not bookmarked. How do I make the emails stop please?

It's not only Bookmarks that prompt email notifications.
Go to your Notifications (The bell shape at the right hand side of the bar at the top of the forum), click it then click on the three lines at the right hand side of the next screen. Then untick any situations where you do not want notifications but be aware, for each item it is all or nothing. e.g. If you have commented on that thread, you may want to untick in the email column against "Notify me when people comment on discussions I've participated in."

I want notifications for all threads other than this one. Can I not do this?

No. as I said it's all or nothing against each category.

What's the point of bookmarks then? It has nothing to do with email notifications?

The point of bookmarks is you can bookmark any individual thread and get notifications when anyone comments on it (if you have ticked to get notifications for bookmarks), BUT you don't need to bookmark a thread you have started or one you have commented on, IF you have ticked to be notified of these. If you haven't ticked to be notified of these, you can still bookmark the odd one if you want notifications for that one only.

Ah I get it now, I have to untick email notifications for threads I participate in and toggle the bookmarks on or off for those threads I want emails for. Thanks for your help.
