Help finding executor after 20 years

You have already explained to the Administrators that you have lost contact with your fellow executor.

Have they said how far they expect you to go in attempting to trace her?

Were you your mother's sole beneficiary/sole residuary beneficiary after the payment of specific bequests?

Have you checked with HMRC on any tax implications?

I take it you have tried phone book, faceache, just plain google?  Have you contacted any old folks homes in the area she was last known to have been?  Have you been round to her old house and spoken to the neighbours?  Would it be worth hiring an agency to find her?  We lost touch with a step sister and found her in an old folks home.

Have you checked with HMRC on any tax implications? No but there shouldn't be any tax implications as notified by the pension provider as this will be paying out within 2 years of the pension company having notification of death

Yep, my next step once I hear from the pension company if this really s necessary is going round her old house.

If it is substantial then perhaps a Private Investigator.

I am certain it wouldn't be substantial enough for thousands of pounds of expenditure tbh

Well...I found her. The good old phone book!
