I probably wouldn't bother investing it.  I think it would be a waste of my time with such a large amount of money.  Might as well start enjoying it immediately!  First would be an email to my work telling them that I am leaving and to never contact me again :  )

Max out family's £4m NS&I allowance each, split the remaining £30m 3 ways in a Vanguard general account (or maybe get an IFA to set me up as an institutional investor or something), £10m FTSE UK All Share, £10m FTSE 250, £5m FTSE Global All Cap, £2.5m VVAL and VHYL.

WHere's the exposure to China and Asia?

I would set up a Letting empire

Indirectly via the UK equity bits, and directly and indirectly via the global equity bits.
I could not stand dealing with tenants.
  • Give it back. It would have to be a mistake, because I've never bought a lottery ticket.

Am I the only one that would rather 50 people each won £1mil?
£1mil would certainly be plenty for me.

I always say that when someone wins millions on the lottery!

Would be fun making a list up of 49 people you were going to give a million to wouldn't it?

Open as many banks accounts as possible to put the maximum protected £85k in each....

Then try and remember all the individual passwords.
