How to check credit if unsure of details

Hi,
If I can't provide enough detail or can't be answered apologies if this wastes time for anyone.
Roughly in 2006 I stopped paying my debts (about 12k or so in credit card bills, mobile phone bills and an overdraft). For 3 years I got by with no registered addresses, no bank details or anything registered in my name. In 2009 I moved abroad to live and work. In 2011 I moved back to the UK for 6 months, claimed benefit so registered my address that way but I moved out of the country again in the same year and in that time I wasn't contacted regarding my debts. I've been living and working abroad since. I got my own bank account again in 2012 but not a British one. I've had a bank account in 4 diff countries since then, mainly when I've moved but have not registered as living anywhere.
I have no intention of moving back to the UK, not until after the impact of Brexit is clear but I'm now more mature and financially sound so would like to pay my debts off if required.
The main problem I have is that I don't remember my registered addresses and from what I can gather because I don't have any for the last 6 years in the uk I can't check if I have a ccj or my credit report. I did try ontacting my main debt provider (about 8/9k for overdraft and credit card debt) but because I couldn't provide enough security answers they wouldn't answer me.
My question is can I check if I have a ccj against me if it was issued more than 6 years ago without any address details and is there any way of checking if my debt is statute-barred because I'm struggling to get a credit report for the same reasons (time passed and lack of address details).
Or would I possibly just have to wait until I do ever move back to the UK to see if anything pops up against me?
Thanks in advance

Just as an aside my credit is quite decent in my current country so I assume my debt hasn't followed me.0

If you’ve been out of the UK for more than 6 years, then as far as your credit file is concerned you don’t have any debts as they will all have dropped off by now - assuming they were closed/defaulted etc.If you return to the UK you’ll essentially be starting from scratch and have to be back in the country for 3 years+ to get access to most kinds of credit again.1

You may however find that some of your past creditors will decline to accept any new business from you.

OP said s/he stopped paying the debts in 2006, so in 2012 there would have been a statute bar. No court proceedings would have been issued 4 years ago as they have to do a small outline as to what the debt is, when it started, when the last payment was.
Do you have a specific concern you want help with?Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
