EasyJet cancellations

Hello. I am due to travel to Turkey in 15 days so today is my last day to change my flights for free (more than 14 days before flying) Equally I was told today was easyJet’s last day to notify my if they were going to cancel it. After a 3 hour wait on hold we eventually got through to be told they now had until up to 7 Days before flying to cancel, but I still only have until today to change for free. The flight is still open to be booked. Should I assume it is flying and change dates to next year, I wait it out and see if they cancel knowing I’d have to pay to change flights after today. Hope this makes sense!

with an ever changing situation, flights could actually be cancelled right up to departure (at the start of this flights were actually turned around part way through flight) Although the airline may well plan to operate, nobody can give any certainty if they will 100% go ahead.
It sounds like you have decided that you do not wish to travel, in which case your gamble is £64 per person (change fee should the flights not be cancelled)0 -
Hi thanks for the reply. Yes I was just checking how much we are gambling with. There are 4 of us, so £256. Our flight is the first one bookable to Dalaman it seems, so may go ahead, but if they cancel and I’ve changed then I loose! Difficult decision.0

I originally booked a flight to Gibraltar in February, obviously i've had to take a chance that the flight would go ahead, however,on checking today,it appears that easyjet are not resuming flights until 08/09/20,my flight date is 01/09/20.As yet Easyjet have yet to inform me that the flight is cancelled. In the meantime i have accomodation booked, what am i supposed to do now?.Like thousands of others i've tried contacting by phone and contact form.Nowhere on the site is there the ability to cancel my booking.I therefore have to try and get a flight elsewhere or lose my accomodation expenses. And yet,Easy jet could decide to start earlier flights, what a disgrace the airlines are.Any suggestions welcome.0

which airport are you flying from? looks like Gatwick to Gibraltar is still showing for sale on 1st
If another airport, what is the status showing in manage my booking?0 -
When you mention they aren’t resuming flights until 08/09 is that to Gibraltar only? Where did you get that information?

I am flying from Luton To Gibraltar,if you go on Easyjets website and try and book you will see that they are only booking flights to Gibraltar from Luton starting 08/09/20,as to other destinations id don't know.0

what does it show in your "manage my booking" on the Easyjet site?0

In manage my bookings it doesn't allow you to do anything other than view your booked flight.I cannot gamble on Easyjet changing their schedule, they cannnot/will not confirm or deny if Gibraltar flights will resume before 8/9/20,but you most definitely cannot book a flight from Luton to Gibraltar before this date, but they'd be quite happy for me to purchase a selected seat.Caz3121 said:what does it show in your "manage my booking" on the Easyjet site?0 -
Just been on the Easyjet site, they are now showing no flights for ALL of September, but were accepting bookings to Gibraltar from Luton from 8/9/20 yesterday. When are they going to notify customers who booked flights in September that they are now cancelled.Disgraceful way to treat customers.0

As they say on their website, they're managing their schedule on a rolling basis, which effectively means that they're not confirming flights are going ahead or being cancelled until two or three weeks before departure. Unfortunate that passengers don't have clarity before then but it's hardly surprising that they leave it as late as possible given the ever-changing circumstances - I have a flight booked with them for 31 August but am not expecting to hear from them for at least another couple of weeks....Easyjetmug said:When are they going to notify customers who booked flights in September that they are now cancelled.0
