Automatic compensation Scheme

Hi all,
Had some issues with my internet this week (no connection) and ended up having a few engineers out. Went like this;
Wednesday - Talktalk engineer out, advised problem outside the property.
Thursday - Openreach engineer visited the cabinet, 'fixed the fault' but still no internet.
Talktalk then advised me an Openreach engineer would need to visit my house.
Friday - Engineer didn't turn up
Saturday - Engineer didn't turn up
Monday - Engineer turned up and fixed fault (after running further tests inside it turned out to be a fault in the cabinet. Internet now working.

Now my issue is that Talktalk are saying I will not receive the automatic compensation for the 2 missed visits as they were Openreach engineer visits. As far as I'm concerned I made the appointments with Talktalk. I also have proof of appointments by chat transcript.
Can anyone advise if they are within their rights to do this? What should my next step be?
