Then surely this is a tax fiddle as the OP also says working in Denmark and paid in Denmark and Danish taxes.

As far as the UK is concerned, you weren't working in the UK so you'll get nothing from the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme or the support for self-employed people. You can claim Universal Credit if you're willing to look for other work.As far as Denmark goes, you'll have to look at what they're offering. I guess that when you're working you're living on the oil rig or ship or whatever, and you don't have a land residence in Denmark?1
