That's not what finance documents say, I just looked at them. First payment is due on 2nd of August.

I'll wait until Saturday, but if it's not ready then, I'll kick up a fuss. I don't like to do it, having worked in sales myself, but to be told a car is ready for collection, then suddenly it's not until 2 weeks later is a joke as far as I'm concerned.

These are not normal times. It's hardly unreasonable for there to be delays to things currently.

But, also, it's entirely possible that something was noticed that meant the car was not ready - perhaps some minor body damage, perhaps some other issue. The time is being taken to rectify that. Should they have said? Yes. But where in the communication chain was that break-down?
