Adding children to an Easyjet Booking

My wife and I were originally flying to a colleague's wedding, as it was an adult's only affair the kids were staying with the grandparents. The wedding has now been cancelled due to Covid and so we have been looking at options for changing our flights. We'd like to take the kids away with us now but hitting a bit of a brick wall as to how to actually do this. We can't add them to our booking (online at least), and can't buy tickets just for the two of them.
The only option I can feasibly see is changing one of our names on the original booking to one of the children's, then making a separate booking for the other adult and child, but this will incur a name change fee which I'd obviously prefer to avoid if there is another way of doing this that anyone knows?

Just as an update for anyone who stumbles across this, ringing customer services is the only way this can be done currently. Sorted after nearly a couple of hours on hold this morning.1

@poshphil Were the costs the same as booking it online or were there additional fees (at that time of course). Thanks0

I just had to add my 15 yr old to a booking. There is nothing on the app or website that allows you to do this. I called EasyJet and asked them to do this. At the same time I was looking at the cost of adding an adult (£132.70). When he finally gave me the price it was £178. I questioned this as being more than an adult price, and he said it was because I called in, and didn't use the app. I informed him that had it been possible to do on the app I would have. He said he would could override the admin fee, or show me how to do it on the app. I asked him to show me. He put me on hold then came back and said he would override the admin fee. He then reduced it to exactly the same cost as an adult ticket. In the mean time i had done to trial bookings, one for a lone adult, and one for adult plus child. I subtracted the adult cost from the joint cost, and told him how much he was overcharging me by. Again, he put me on hold then came back and told me he had to remove the taxes from the child ticket, and then charged me exactly the price I was expecting. Would be much simpler if they just made it a function on the app. Maybe it was because I hadn't paid to select the seats, that we then could not add a seat. I guess you can only add seats if you have pre paid for seats.1

Pays to do your research - as you did - to know what the price would be if you were able to add a child through the app.0
