Gas meter earth bond?

Had a gas engineer around that found a defect. There is a earth bonding cable in the gas meter box but it's not clamped to the pipe & was told it needs to be clamped on. Is this something I can do myself or would I need to call out an electrician it seems such a small job?

A clip is a couple of quid from screwfix/toolstation with a bit of pipe cleaning before attaching - but can you see the other end - does it go in to your consumer unit?0

Is it a EC14 or EC15 clamp I need? Can I clamp it anywhere on the pipe? Do I need to cut the wire in any way? No I‘m not sure where the other end goes.Lorian said:A clip is a couple of quid from screwfix/toolstation with a bit of pipe cleaning before attaching - but can you see the other end - does it go in to your consumer unit?0 -
Attaching a clip to a wire and attaching it to a gas pipe: job for a beginnerFiguring out why it's not already attached to the gas pipe, or has been removed, and what might be connected to the other end: job for an electrician0
