How do I enter?

You can enter the Competition by texting YES to 61025 or YES to 61054 (cost £2.00 plus 1 standard network rate message) or online at the bottom of this page.

You can enter each Draw in line with the maximum number of entries, as detailed in Item 8 of the below Terms and Conditions. We strongly advise against excessive use.

When do I enter?

Entry to the Competition will open and close as detailed in Item 4 in the Terms & Conditions below.

I have sent a text to enter but haven’t received an entry confirmation message

There could be several reasons why you haven’t received a confirmation message. This could be due to insufficient funds, a bar on your account or a network problem.

You will need to speak to your network about this.

I can’t find the online entry

No. Any texts that start with ‘FreeMsg’ are free to receive.

I want to stop receiving messages

To opt out of our free marketing messages, just text STOP to 61054 or 61025 (1 standard network rate message). For full details, please see Item 11 of the terms and conditions.

My network say I am in a subscription and I can have a refund

We do not operate a subscription service, and any charges you have received are for entering our competitions.

How much does it cost to play the Competition?

Entry via text costs £2.00 (from the UK) plus 1 standard rate message. You must have permission from the bill payer before sending. Online entry is free.

We strongly advise against excessive use. You can also ask your network to put a premium rate bar on your account, which would prevent you from entering by text.

My text message isn’t sending or is failing.

If your text message entry to us is not leaving your phone, then it hasn’t reached us and won’t be included in the Draw.

This is something that isn’t under our control, and you’ll need to contact your network in order to resolve this issue:

I had a missed call, was it from the Competition?

Unfortunately we cannot disclose this information, however it is possible that the call will be from a withheld number. Before entering the Competition we would recommend ensuring that you will be able to play at the times announced on air.

I haven’t had a text – what is the Prize?

The Prize is announced on air after the start of the each Entry Period. This will then be regularly repeated until the Draw takes place.

I have previously won a prize. Am I eligible to win again?

Entrants are able to win a maximum of two prizes throughout the duration of this Competition, the Jackpot, and one Spot Prize.

However, if you have won more than £500 in any previous Bauer Media Competition over the past 6 months you are not eligible to win.

Terms and Conditions

These Competition terms and conditions should be read together with, and are in addition to, Bauer Media Group: Competition General Terms & Conditions at: https://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/competition-general-terms-and-conditions (the “General Terms”).

Together these specific competition terms and conditions and the General Terms shall be referred to as the “Terms”. Where there is a conflict between these terms and the General Terms, these terms shall prevail.

ITEM 1: COMPETITION NAME

The Summer Cash Drop running from the Start Date to the End Date as set out below (the “Competition”).

ITEM 2: PROMOTER

Bauer Radio Limited, registered office: Media House Peterborough Business Park, Lynch Wood, Peterborough, United Kingdom, PE2 6EA and registered under company number 01394141 (the “Promoter”)

This is a Hits Radio Networks Scotland Competition, running across the following radio stations:

Clyde 1, Clyde 2, Forth 1, Forth 2, MFR, MFR 2, Northsound 1, Northsound 2, Radio Borders, Tay FM, Tay 2, West FM, Westsound AM, Westsound FM

ITEM 3: WEBSITE

The website shall be www.planetradio.co.uk/cash-drop (the “Website”)

ITEM 4: COMPETITION START DATE AND END DATE

Start Date: Monday 20 July 2020 at 8:00am

End Date: Friday 24 July 2020 at 5:00pm

We reserve the right to broadcast the Competition at any time throughout each day during the broadcast schedule.

ITEM 5: ENTRY PERIODS

Entry to the Competition will open and close as detailed above.

Any entries received before the Start Date or after the End Date will be invalid but you may still be charged.

ITEM 6: COMPETITION DETAILS

After the start of the Competition, the jackpot prize amount (the “Jackpot”) will be announced on air. The Prize will be the cash amount that entrants are trying to win.

We reserve the right to announce the Jackpot at any time during the Competition. We may also advertise the Jackpot on the respective Station’s Website, social media or via an SMS marketing message or via any other medium at our absolute discretion.

After the Entry Period has closed, one entrant from all of the valid entries will be selected by automated random draw (the “Draw”).

Throughout the Competition, at our discretion, we may award Cash Drop Spot Prizes (the “Spot Prize(s)”). The time by which entrants must enter the Competition in order to be eligible to win the Spot Prize will be clearly advertised on air and after this time has passed, one entrant from all of the valid entries will be selected by automated random draw. There are no additional entry requirements to win a Spot Prize, Spot Prizes could be awarded at any time during the Competition and the value of Spot Prizes may vary.

After the time by which entrants must enter the Competition in order to be eligible for the Spot Prizes has passed, one entrant from all of the valid entries will be selected by automated random draw.

If an entrant fails to answer their phone, refuses to play, or if any fault occurs immediately prior to or during the call and it is not possible to re-establish contact with the entrant, they will forfeit their chance to win and another entrant will be selected at random. The decision of the Production team is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

The entrant selected may be required to talk to the presenter / programming team, and the call may be recorded and played on-air (assuming there is no breach of these terms and conditions).

The entrant who is randomly selected to play will win the Jackpot or Spot Prize on offer.

ITEM 7: ROUTES OF ENTRY AND COSTS

Entrants can enter the Competition by sending an SMS message starting with the keyword YES to 61025, or YES to 61054. If the message does not start with the valid Keyword(s), or is not sent to the valid number, it will not be entered. Entrants will receive an automated SMS response to their SMS message confirming their entry. Entrants can also enter online below.

Entrants are responsible for all costs associated with entering this Competition. Texts cost £2.00 (from the UK) + standard network rate. Entrants must have permission from the bill payer before entering the Competition. Online entry is free.

Bauer Media are not responsible for any network or technical issues an entrant may experience, such as latency of the mobile phone network, which may delay or prevent their participation or cause them to lose the Competition if on-air.

ITEM 8: ENTRANT RESTRICTIONS

The Competition is only open to people aged 18 and over who: (i) live in the United Kingdom, (ii) are not a Bauer employee or their immediate family (including live-in partner) and (iii) are not an employee of any third-party sponsors or prize providers, or their immediate family (including live-in partner).

You can enter each Draw a maximum of 12 times via SMS (including free entries) and a maximum of 12 times online. Entrants must obtain permission from the bill payer before texting to enter the Competition.

We reserve the right to run bonus SMS entry incentives throughout the duration of the Competition. These incentives will be communicated via the automated SMS response received to confirm the entry.

Where we operate an incentive, the entry limit may change.

It is possible to be selected more than once to play the Competition between the Start Date and End Date, and if the entrant selected has not previously won the Prize, they are eligible to play again.

ITEM 9: WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT

Entrants who are randomly selected will be contacted by the phone number provided with their entry. This may be live on air or off-air to be played out at a later time. All callers are randomly selected in the same way and any off-air recording will only ever take place after the entries have closed. The name, hometown, photo and any video or audio recording of the winner may also be posted on the Promoter’s Website and / or social media platforms.

By entering the Competition, the entrant is automatically consenting to being called and having their name and location announced on-air.

Entrants are only able to win a single prize throughout the duration of this Competition. Also, if an entrant has won more than £500 in any Bauer Media Competition over the past 6 months they are not eligible to win. For more details on this, please see item 4.11 ”Prize Limits” of the Bauer Media Group Competition General Terms & Conditions.

ITEM 10: PRIZE DETAILS

The Jackpot and Spot Prize(s) will always be a cash amount that will be delivered to a winner paid in cash, by bank transfer or by cheque.

Delivery or payment of the prizes is subject to the winner providing personal identification and / or proof of address and to internal compliance checks. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged. Payment of the Jackpot or Spot Prize(s) may take up to 28 days from the point at which the Promoter receives the correct details.

Where, it emerges after the Jackpot or Spot Prize(s) have been awarded that the entrant was in breach of these terms and conditions, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from that winner and they will not be entitled to any further reward or remuneration. We reserve the right to exclude individuals who breach our terms and conditions from entering our competitions.

ITEM 11: DATA PROTECTION

By entering the Competition, entrants are automatically consenting to receiving marketing communications from the Promoter via SMS text message. Entrants can opt out of this at any time by texting: STOP to 61054 or 61025. This will be charged at 1 standard network rate message. If entrants do not wish to receive any marketing communications, they will need to do this after each time they re-enter the Competition. Entrants personal data will (regardless of whether they opt-out) always be used to process their entry. ITEM 12: INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENT

We will sometimes (at our discretion) telephone entrants and ask them to speak on-air. They have the right to refuse. If they consent, their voice will be recorded and they consent to this recording being used on our radio broadcasts. Entrants agree that we will own this recording and that a copy of it will be stored for further exploitation, which may include promotion.

Entrants will not be put through to speak on-air if we think they are driving illegally, intoxicated, likely to swear, or otherwise offend our listeners. Whilst on air for the purposes of this competition entrants must not use foul language, swear, say or do anything defamatory or illegal or say or do anything which would damage the reputation of the Promoter, is offensive or inappropriate or which would cause us, or our listeners, harm. Failure to comply will result in disqualification, and if the entrant has won the prize, this will be forfeited.

ITEM 13: OTHER CONDITIONS

We will only accept entries that comply with our terms and conditions and we may disqualify the entrant if we know or suspect that they have breached them. All our decisions relating to the Competition and/or awarding of prizes are final. No discussions or correspondence with entrants or any other person will be entered into about the operation of this Competition. We have the right to cancel, amend, terminate or suspend this Competition if forced to do so due to circumstances outside our control.

A wee update - Jackpot draw on Friday at 5pm is for £25,000. Enter at anytime and you'll count towards the jackpot draw, however, the cash could drop at anytime throughout the day, when it does there is a one hour freeze on the lines.
**Nothing said about remembering an amount - so if you get picked and answer you win** They also said you could win more than the jackpot.**
Also, if you win a cash drop through the week you are also eligible for the jackpot on Friday.(Usually with this media group if you win more than £500 you can't win again within 6 months so an exemption for this comp)

Thank you for posting this competition which you have added (Scottish) to the title. Although it is being run across Scottish radio stations it appears to be the same as this one E: 24/07 Win £££ Summer Cash Drop (12 entries - starts 8am 20/07) posted by Comping_Rich which is run across English radio stations.
Whilst both competitions are in two different geographical areas the "Specific and General" Terms and Conditions do not stipulate you have to to reside in either Scotland or England but state as follows:

 3.1      Entrants must meet all eligibility requirements as specified in the Specific Terms. The Promoter will not delver any prizes to any address outside the United Kingdom.

Can someone living in either Scotland or England enter both competitions?

Although if you can enter on both It might be that you have used up all 12 entries on one site and therefore have reached your maximum limit when you try to enter on the other site.

Hi Molly, answered on the other post. As mentioned there are two competition's, the amounts could be different and cash drop could happen at different times on either 'network'. I enter the Scottish one as I live here and can easily listen to the local station(West FM) and I enter through that link. I also enter the 'English' competition through the link for Greatest Hits as this is broadcast across the whole of the UK. I only use that link, I think they know how you enter, although not for sure, but I've seen comments that this has been mentioned to winners in the past. Hope this helps, I've kept the email from them saying that I could, it's all about interpretation of the rules, but as mentioned on the other post, Wave 105 and indeed other stations mention sometimes in their comps that you must have a home address in certain counties to win, if you don't and were drawn it would feel pretty awful.

The T&Cs for these 2 new Cash Drop comps are different than the T&Cs for the recent Cash Register (and many other of the similar recent comps).

Yes, both T&Cs still state that the comps run over a set list of different stations (like they always do, even when entry is not restricted across the UK) - separate lists for the Hits Radio Network and the Hits Radio Network Scotland - but the specific entry restrictions in the T&Cs are different to previous recent comps.

Previous recent comps (like the Cash Register that ended last week) stated:

For Hits Radio Network: The Competition is only open to people aged 18 and over who: (i) live in the United Kingdom......

For Hits Radio Network Scotland: The Competition is only open to people aged 18 and over who: (i) live in the Scotland and North Northumberland.....

For these new Cash Drop comps they state:

For Hits Radio Network: The Competition is only open to people aged 18 and over who: (i) live in the United Kingdom......

For Hits Radio Network Scotland: The Competition is only open to people aged 18 and over who: (i) live in the United Kingdom......

I don't know whether this was an intentional change (there was a time, quite a while ago, where the Scotland Network comps were open to everyone across the UK - written as above in the T&Cs and confirmed by email to the network by several MSE'rs - but then a new comp started with them using "Scotland and North Northumberland" in the T&Cs, so entry was restricted and they have stayed that way for all their comps since then) or whether they have just made a mistake in their T&Cs and it should still say it's restricted to Scotland and North Northumberland (this has happened in least once before and they later edited the T&Cs to correct them and put the restriction back in).
