@molly57. Having looked through the terms, I don't see anything to say you can't as you can easily listen through the interweb to any of the stations, my best mate lives in Liverpool and listens to Clyde 1(based in Glasgow) as he prefers the patter and accent to that on the local Liverpool station(nuts if you ask me). I'm prepared for questions when I win :-)Thanks to all the competition posters.4

If you take a look at the terms and conditions for this one you will see all the stations that it is running on and where you can enter. There is no mention of the Scotland stations. Where as if you look at the terms and conditions from one of the Scotland stations, there is no mention of the England stations. It was the same with The Cash Register, which finished last Friday, both amount were the same, yet there were different winners for the one running on Scotland stations to the one running on England stations, or one would have a rollover whereas the other would have a winner.molly57. said:Hello
I have posted the below on smitchy73's post which is for the Scottish version of this competition.
Good Morning
Thank you for posting this competition which you have added (Scottish) to the title. Although it is being run across Scottish radio stations it appears to be the same as this one E: 24/07 Win £££ Summer Cash Drop (12 entries - starts 8am 20/07) posted by Comping_Rich which is run across English radio stations.
Whilst both competitions are in two different geographical areas the "Specific and General" Terms and Conditions do not stipulate you have to to reside in either Scotland or England but state as follows:ITEM 8: ENTRANT RESTRICTIONS
The Competition is only open to people aged 18 and over who: (i) live in the United Kingdom, (ii) are not a Bauer employee or their immediate family (including live-in partner) and (iii) are not an employee of any third-party sponsors or prize providers, or their immediate family (including live-in partner).
and
3. ELIGIBILITY RULES FOR OUR COMPETITIONS
3.1 Entrants must meet all eligibility requirements as specified in the Specific Terms. Entrants must be residents of the United Kingdom and must be aged 18 years or over at the time of entry, unless specified in the Specific Terms or otherwise. The Promoter will not delver any prizes to any address outside the United Kingdom.
Can someone living in either Scotland or England enter both competitions?
Although if you can enter on both It might be that you have used up all 12 entries on one site and therefore have reached your maximum limit when you try to enter on the other site.
In answer to your question as to whether someone living in either Scotland or England enter both competitions. These questions have been answered before. If you live in England you can only enter the England one, as none of the Scotland stations are available on DAB nationwide. Where as if you live in Scotland, it seems you can enter both the Scotland version and the England version.Posting is a privilege, not a right. This is a privately-owned site. I'm a "Scottish" person living in England hence my keen interest when I see the word "Scottish" or "Scotland" etc. And besides I don't want to miss out on a potential win!!!!smitchy73 said:@molly57. @Comping_Rich
Thank you. I have read through both the "specific" and "general" terms and conditions on both competition posts and both state "live in the United Kingdom" As they are so lengthy I admit I may have missed something and I do remember this being discussed before.
The only thing that is area specific is "Listen to Clyde 1" and "Listen to Hits Radio"
I am not able to listen to Clyde 1 or any of the other Scottish radio stations because I live too far south.
If I have made a mistake then I apologise in advance.
Regards

The T&Cs for these 2 new Cash Drop comps are different than the T&Cs for the recent Cash Register (and many other of the similar recent comps).Yes, both T&Cs still state that the comps run over a set list of different stations (like they always do, even when entry is not restricted across the UK) - separate lists for the Hits Radio Network and the Hits Radio Network Scotland - but the specific entry restrictions in the T&Cs are different to previous recent comps.Previous recent comps (like the Cash Register that ended last week) stated:For Hits Radio Network: The Competition is only open to people aged 18 and over who: (i) live in the United Kingdom......For Hits Radio Network Scotland: The Competition is only open to people aged 18 and over who: (i) live in the Scotland and North Northumberland.....For these new Cash Drop comps they state:For Hits Radio Network: The Competition is only open to people aged 18 and over who: (i) live in the United Kingdom......For Hits Radio Network Scotland: The Competition is only open to people aged 18 and over who: (i) live in the United Kingdom......I don't know whether this was an intentional change (there was a time, quite a while ago, where the Scotland Network comps were open to everyone across the UK - written as above in the T&Cs and confirmed by email to the network by several MSE'rs - but then a new comp started with them using "Scotland and North Northumberland" in the T&Cs, so entry was restricted and they have stayed that way for all their comps since then) or whether they have just made a mistake in their T&Cs and it should still say it's restricted to Scotland and North Northumberland (this has happened at least once before and they later edited the T&Cs to correct them and put the restriction back in).

They just played a bit of the phone call to the winner, didn’t appear that you needed to know the amount, play a game or anything11

Just discovered a clue that might suggest that the England and Scotland versions are seperate.Take a look at https://planetradio.co.uk/hits-radio/competitions/win/cash-drop-uk/ and scroll down to "Our latest Summer Cash Drop winners". You will notice that on the next slide the winner for today is shown.Where as if you go to one of the Scottish stations, https://planetradio.co.uk/westsound/competitions/win/cash-drop-scotland/, this does not slide to show a winner for today, nor does it display a winner if you click the arrow, or little grey square. Could this suggest that no one answered the phone during the Cash Drop?
