All there question opt me out going through that process, the company I worked for never provided a V5 Log book and I have given the van back a few weeks ago - the van plates were stolen and somebody is driving around out in Dartford and I need to let the DVLA know that I am not the registered, certified driver any longer ?
Any help greatly appreciated0 -
Surely that's down to your company to sort this out, particularly if they have the V5.gesdt50 said:All there question opt me out going through that process, the company I worked for never provided a V5 Log book and I have given the van back a few weeks ago - the van plates were stolen and somebody is driving around out in Dartford and I need to let the DVLA know that I am not the registered, certified driver any longer ?

Why would the company you work for provide you with a V5C for their vehicle anyway? You would never have been the registered keeper of it.gesdt50 said:All there question opt me out going through that process, the company I worked for never provided a V5 Log book and I have given the van back a few weeks ago - the van plates were stolen and somebody is driving around out in Dartford and I need to let the DVLA know that I am not the registered, certified driver any longer ?
Do you mean the actual plastic plates were stolen? That's one for the police, not DVLA.0 -
Would be keeper while I am responsible0

It's the person (or company) named on the V5 who is the registered keeper. Not the person who is actually holding the bit of paper at any given moment. If the vehicle needs to be transferred to somebody else, that can be done on-line.If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
Would that be on the .Gov site, DVLA keeps going to Ownership, registered keeper ?Ectophile said:It's the person (or company) named on the V5 who is the registered keeper. Forget about it you don’t have the van you weren’t the registered keeper. The DVLA won’t be contacting you.0

It would get a bit expensive if 1 was wrong Full Pcn's not been paid and Baliffs turning up on the door ask for 12,000 quid ie could be a bit of a shock to the systemMX5huggy said:Forget about it you don’t have the van you weren’t the registered keeper. The DVLA won’t be contacting you.0 -
'Keeper' and 'Registered Keeper' can be two different legal entities, you may have been 'the keeper', but any enquiries, claims etc. will be made to 'the registered keeper', to sort out. The DVLA only has details of 'the registered keeper', it has no details of 'the keeper'..
