Incorrect information in home buyers report

We recently paid a company to provide a home buyer report for a property we are purchasing.
There were no real major issues flagged from the report we had back, however we've noticed several pieces of information are incorrect, such as having timber framed windows that were in a poor condition and installed before 2002 (they are pvc and the house was built in 2008) and having decking in the back garden which needed treating (the garden has no decking)
Other parts were correct to our knowledge but this has obviously given us concerns over the validity of the report.
I presume they've copied and pasted bits from existing reports and made a few mistakes in the process. My question is, is this normal practice or have we hired a chancer?
We've sent then an email to address our concerns and I imagine they'll end up making minor corrections. I'm just not sure whether this is something I should be concerned with or is this normal practice?

My recent survey had a few minor errors (referred to front and rear gardens when there is only a front garden and location of the loft hatch). A friend had a survey recently and reading them both side by side 90% of the content was basically the same, so they clearly do use the same template for each report and just add in the specific points on 'your' property.I was a bit miffed but haven't taken it up with them yet, although I will be. As yours refers to important items like windows I would definitely query it.0

As someone who is very cynical about these, this comes as no surprise. Not sure why anyone would be reassured by having one.0

Ask for your money back it's clearly not fit for purpose. You say it's mostly good with some areas that are clearly wrong, well how do you know the areas that are good aren't as much cut and paste mistakes as the areas that are wrong?
Then consider what good one is anyway when it's obviously at best no better than something you can do for yourself eg noting conditions of windows and so on which you are clearly competent to do, as you've done it.And don't think you are protected by having one, half the content of these is usually caveats0
