If you call or email the lifestyle people they will extend your cinema codes after verification. I told them I didn't have a chance to use my vouchers (which was true, i had planned to use it on all the blockbusters coming out the first half of this year!) and they were expriing mid lockdown. They took a few weeks to check that my codes hadn't been used, then emailed me a new set of codes valid a new 12 months. (on top of my next year of codes)

I suspect if you have several months left on your vouchers they wont extend them though, but worth asking.

I have four of their accounts but it's not really unexpected.  At least we get in total 24 cinema tickets a year.
    Are they all sole accounts?
Yes all sole accounts. We do not believe in joint accounts.
Are all four sole accounts in the name of one person?
Yes  all the same name. I must say with Lloyds they are always very accommodating with me and never any issues if I want to borrow any money or change credit for a better deal.

You're correct, they won't extend with several months left. I asked yesterday as, unfortunately, when I renewed earlier this year I stuck with Cineword, didn't realise Odeon was an option ad well!

Our Odeon has reopened but our Cineworld hasn't & doesn't look like it will any day soon. 12 tickets so hopefully a lot of good films will come out once/if it does reopen.
Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.

Odeon wasn't an option until a few months ago. It was Cineworld or Vue. Maybe you renewed just before they changed it?

I wonder what happens now with my magazine subscription given that I chose Q?
Well, they've just sent a copy of Mojo as a substitute & didn't even ask them.

    Well done Lloyd's

I wonder why people are so interested in the ins and outs of your 24 cinema tickets? :D

You're the only other person i've seen who also gets 24 tickets, although it sounds like you get them a different way to me.
  • Does anyone have the linked club saver? I opened mine in 2019 when the interest rate was fixed for 12 months (now gone down to 1.5%). I saved the max £4800 but only received £64 interest, they said that's because the interest is calculated on a daily basis not the end of year sum, which I didn't think was the case?

Every savings account I've ever heard of calculates the interest daily.

You thought they'd pay you interest on money that wasn't even deposited?...Really?
    From the product summary box...

    3. What might the future balance be?

For example, if you deposit £400.00 every month for 12 months you will have a balance of £4836.00 after interest is paid.

    This assumes:

    • interest is paid 12 months after you open the account
    • you deposit £400.00 in the middle of each month and you don’t withdraw any money or interest.
    • Interest is calculated each day. As your balance is lower at the start of the term and grows after each monthly deposit, your daily interest calculation also slowly increases. At the end of the term your interest is added into your savings account.

But if banks calculated interest on the end of year sum, you could fill up savings accounts the day before interest was due, only have the money in there for a day, but claim a year's worth of interest, then move it to the next account
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?
