Help to buy help!

I am a first time buyer, I have had a help to buy ISA set up for a few years and have accumulated quite a bit of money in there. However, myself and my partner have chosen to do the help to buy scheme instead of using the ISA for our new house. Do I still get any bonuses for having the help to buy ISA even though I’m now using the help to buy scheme?

Comments

  • You can use a help to buy ISA with Help to buy quite loan scheme.

Do you mean the property you are going to buy is not eligible for help to buy ISA bonus (e. g. Greater than 250k outside London)?

If you cannot use help to buy ISA for property purchase you will not get the bonus. You will not be penalised for closing HTB isa.
