Mail only being delivered once a week at most maybe even less...

Isn't nearly everyone back at work now so royal mail should have cleared out their backlog by now?
I only started receiving mail to my own post box a couple of weeks ago after having had to wait 8 months odd for the property managers to bother to put them in. FINALLY!
They had contacted royal mail instructing them to deliver to the properties (around 50 or so on the new build site) and they did so efficiently for a few days, maybe 3 or 4 days then suddenly I stopped seeing the mailman. I know they aren't coming because I am in every morning and watch like a hawk from when I wake very early til around 2 pm. And even when I go out and return mail is not arriving while I was out so they aren't coming at all I think.
Also I was waiting for an item on ebay and it had been about two weeks. I had just raised a case to have it resent then that day must have happened to be the only day royal mail delivered and I received it and cancelled the case.
I really hope that it is only a temporary thing and it is not they just don't wanna deliver any more than that as a permanent thing. Royal mail like to make it really hard to find their direct numbers for sorting offices so it is hard to find out any info. Also the office is about 10 miles away, and I don't drive and don't wanna use public transport, not even in the same city; it is in a town out of the city, even though before we got our own boxes the mail came in from a sorting depot only a couple of miles in the same city.
So do you just have to 'lump it' and when you get it is when you get it. It surely is great to have my own box now and not have to go and ask for stuff but the regularity is probably less now than when I didn't have a box. I really hope it's temporary and not permanent and the sorting office feel they do not need to deliver any more often than once a week.
Since they were delivering daily the first few days is what makes me question the cause since if it was covid related I imagine the 1 per week would have been from the start but it happened only after a couple of weeks. So I am wondering if they thought they don't feel obligated to deliver any more than that for a new site that has just been tacked on to their already bursting workload.

Royal Mail are only allowing one operative per vehicle. Deliveries as a consequence are far less frequent. Have been for some months now.2

That doesn't account for their initially coming regularly then suddenly drying up, and once a week seems extreme even if that is the case.

If you contact the main number they should be able to put you through to your local delivery office, the same as they do if you call about a redelivery or signed for item.
s it possible that you just aren't getting much post? I know I can go days at a time without getting any post as so many things are online these days. If you are on a new estate then there may still be empty properties, people who haven't bothered with redirecting their post to their new addresses, and those who took the opportunity to go paperless when they moves or signed up to new providers, so it may simply be that some days there isn't any post .Or that despite 'ataching like a hawk' they happen to come when you are not looking but there isn't any post that day.
Also - I am not surewhether it is true for deliveries but certainly I have noticed that the collection from the post box outside my office isn't always in a marked RM van, so if that is true of deliveries as well it may be that you have seen the postperson but didn't recognise them as such if they were not in a marked vanAll posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)1 -
Perhaps they had an outbreak of virus or posties having to self-isolate with relatives - you won't know unless ou ask.My own maildelivery has been 100% as normal thoughout the lockdown. Every day, usual time. Postie's only complaint was the number of extra parcels he has to carry! You're not 100% clear whether the issue soley RM, or the property managers - it seems RM deliver to the PMs who then do the final delivery? If so, maybe the PMs have been short-staffed.Have you spoken to them?Or RM?Not sure what we here can do to help short of offering to collect your mail for you from the sorting office!0
