Just had a read thru, i must also start posting more regularly but i haven't got much going on, the same old stuff.
@carrielovesfanta u did make me smile when u called hubbie a wuss!!
*Have been really good checking banking everyday
*Had a couple of rough days so havent done much but back on form today.
*Made the most of the Arg@s sale. Picked up some great presents and items for charity really really cheap. Have been in luck things have been in stock. I wouldn't say DD has been impressed as she has been packhorse.
When we do Arg@s it is always combined with another errand as we have to go to the next town. Don't know whether our little Argos will ever open again as the one in the next town is an Arg@s extra.
*I've had one charity organiser friend asking if i had any items (only half of Arg@s!) as she might be able to do a couple of outdoor fundraisers. I use the RM survey stamps to send but really struggling for cardboard boxes.
DD had a parcel arrive yesterday with a nice cardboard box so pounced on that and i've emptied a big box of 80 cat food sachets to pinch the box!
*Tesc@ sent some good money off coupons for a main shop so have made use  of the first one and got £4 off.
*Food waste still minimal and food planning going really well-really pleased as this is the one thing i thought would fall by the wayside
*decluttering has picked up speed again. I thought our little charity shop would have been bombarded with donations-nope still accepting
Thats about it from me. Stay safe snd well everyone x

    Hello all,
    Lovely to read everyones news.
Today I've been out for 3 walks around (a 3 miler with ds1 and two 1.5 milers with dh)
    Checked banking and updated cashbook
Leftovers for lunch on a slice of toast (was actually nicer today then the meal last night!)
Dinner tonight was some potato wedges from the back of the freezer with some salad bits and a bit of chicken.
Moved more furniture around! (I know I'm always seeming to do this but I think I'm nearly sorted.... for now anyways!) (just need to rehome all our board games now but thats a job for tomorrow)
Treated the boys to a movie night (from our stash) and a late night for good school reports.
Thats about it.  Take care all.

Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

Well done on the walking 1LL.

    My list today:
it's payday so I've done my money shuffle and got everything where it needs to be for now. Trying to work out a discrepancy in YN AB which happens every payday and I can't work out why. May have just to put to budget fiddling category if I can't work it out.
Bake something, will see if anything is lurking in fridge to be used up
write shopping list for DH, will only be small as having an online shop today but it wouldn't let me edit it last night 🙃
A bit of work for an hour
get smalls to try on school shoes, if they need new ones won't be buying yet but will look to sell old ones as they only had them a few weeks before lockdown
builder coming to finish a job today, will see if we can get an idea about final stage of building work will also talk to him about garden
lovely person is gifting me a veg box today, so will do meal plan and shopping list after it arrives
start thinking about listing a few bits on flea bay. Haven't done this during lockdown as didn't want to have to keep going to PO, but it seems sensible time to list a few bits.

Have a good day all. Purps.

    Morning all :)
    Today's plans:
Early morning dog walk (Done). Free exercise for all 3 of us!
Load of washing done yesterday evening pegged out on the line
Washed down path to back gate while I was out there
Sink, dishwasher etc cleared, cleaned etc
OH has bathed the dog. Dog not impressed.
    Still to do:
Change curtain rings on new-to-me curtains. They came on large brown ones which look odd on a quite slender black metal pole. Bought new, smaller black ones from ebay. A small spend, though they did cost more than the curtains :DDone
Make a loaf in the BM - inauthentic sourdough starter thing currently threatening to escape onto the worktop! Done
Clean some items ready to take to my sales unit Done, and I took them down there.
I have someone coming to look at some curtain fabric this afternoon. I bought this ages ago with some other textiles for about a pound at a market, intending to have a go at making some curtains. However, on looking at it properly, it is already cut and hemmed and the unfinished curtains are huge, much too big for here. And it is lovely vintage fabric. So I thought better to sell on rather than cut it up. I will put it out on a camping table in the front garden so this can be done in a socially distanced way. Done, sold, the lady was pleased with it
Water front garden plants and anything in the back garden that needs it Back done, will do front in the morning
Some weeding and garden tidying Not done
Some housework Nor this - DD and little GS came round for several hours and little GS expects me to play with him.
Make tarragon chicken for dinner - will make double as I have the ingredients, and will save me cooking tomorrow night. We don't mind having the same meal twice in a row if it is nice, and tarragon chicken is very nice :)Done, used up slightly OOD cream and mushrooms. Plenty for tomorrow.
Not sure if I will get all this done, but will see how far I get!

    Morning folks!

@ditty1234 - I think that the LL should be paying for the CO detector. We have them by the boiler and by the gas meter. Even if the boiler is new it could pose a risk. Ours started leaking gas after about 4 weeks and I had to call Cadent out!!

    Long post warning

Sorry for not posting yesterday but I had a very busy one! OH had a hair cut booked with his fave barber at a near-ish popular seaside town (about an hour's drive). We left at 8.30 so it gave us a good chunk of time before we had to leave at 1 because OH was teaching at 2. He had his hair done while I went to the wholefoods shop to stock up. Then we did a long walk along the front and the lake. We had some lunch out which was the first time since early March. Decided to celebrate the occasion with a small wine and a bottle of beer. OH particulary thrilled and kept saying what a lovely time he'd had :)
It was a bit weird in some ways as we had decided not to browse round out normal shops. There is a collectables/junk/antiques emporium (I suspect a similar place to where you sell things Dawn) that we normally go to but we can't browse in our masks as we both wear glasses. Although actually we'd run out of time anyway and were home half an hour late!

I had a fit of energy when I got back and got stuck into some cooking. Made a big batch of ratatouille with glut of courgettes and veg box tomatoes and herbs from the garden. It smells AMAZING. Also chopped a load of mushrooms that were knocking about, froze some spinach, put a loaf on, and made up the seed mixture to start seed cycling again (this is supposed to help with ladies' hormones).

I was still feeling energetic after tea so I drove up to the allotment myself (OH feeling very tired) and removed more ground elder and brought home a trug-full for the garden waste bin (bonfires still banned by our CC). While working I found a frog at the allotment

    So today list!:
:cookie: B/L from stores. D at m-i-l's. Apparently she is going to cook us a roast. - done
:cookie: Reconcile the budget sheet. Do end of month tot up. We have shifted our EOM/SOM in line with our new pay dates. This will be our first proper budget since I lost my job. We do need to reign in our food spend a lot. It is getting eaten but I'm still buying extra of things in case they run out/local lockdown. Also not picking up things at B&M etc that are cheaper. We are also buying more treats. This used to come out of a different budget pot but things have been so crazy it's all lumped as just money out now :/ - done
:cookie: Collect the shopping and go to the butchers - done
:cookie: Make banana muffins - done
:cookie: Roll seed mix into balls and freeze - done one batch
:cookie: Label rataouille and freeze - done
:cookie: Extreme level of freezer tetris required - done
:cookie: Walk round to small local  shop to see if they have cooking apples (or are even open) -  not done
:cookie: Take the equipment back to the gym! (I'll be happy to see it gone if I'm honest) - done
:cookie: Possibly ring ex-colleague for a catch up if time - not done
:cookie: Wash towels and hang outside in hopes of drying. Seems mizzly today. - in the machine now. Not a chance of putting them outside

    Have a good one all

*zoom get together later, do it every sat for a catch up
*still decluttering, picked up speed on this again
*need to tidy up my room and fix a drawer

Hi @carrielovesfanta agree with LL paying for CO detector, that's why I didn't order it with the fire stuff. Her plumber is supposed to check boiler as last date was 2 years ago, she's not too fuzzed! I also want a new smoke alarm, considering it hasen't been changed for the 16 years I have been here!
Mad new round of granola this morning! used 6 cups of oats - lets see if it lasts more than a day this time. Also didn't bake w pizza this time - so not burnt.
Taking ds to try a car friend might give him.
Donated a bicycle to NHS key workers and ran home!
Will have an end of term bbq ribs and ginger beer party with boys tonight!
Apart from that it's just the lawn and some laundry - have a nice day.

    Evening all :)
It was pouring with rain overnight and early this morning, so no outdoor markets this morning :(  Later dog walk too. It has since cleared up and is forecast to be nice all this week (or at least not rain!)
Spent this morning redoing my freezer inventory. I had an Icyland shop delivered at lunchtime (thanks @1LuckyLady I used the discount code you mentioned, and it worked :))
Also cleaned fridge, and sadly had to throw away half a squishy cucumber and a small piece of cake :( I HATE food waste, it always makes me feel really guilty.
All shopping is now put away, and I won't be needing anything except fresh stuff for a while now. And I think when I do need some items I will brave the supermarket at a suitably quiet time, as I really don't need weekly £40 shops to get the delivery at a reasonable cost (or £35 for free delivery from Iceland). I also need to defrost the freezers, so will need to eat down some of the contents.
OH and I whizzed around and did most of the housework this afternoon
I have watered the chillis in the conservatory and the indoor plants
Had avocados stuffed with prawn mayo with new potatoes and salad for dinner. Cooked enough potatoes to have some left over for a frittata tomorrow :)
Can't believe another week has gone already!
