lyndonp59 said:I sent off the Defence PDF to the email address CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk with the Claim no and Defence in the subject title as per the instructions on the post on the 23rd July (over a week ago) yet it still isn't showing on the Claim History. Still showing AoS as last transaction. Is this normal or do I need to do contact them? Just a bit concerned it will miss the deadline.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You should've received an automatic email response when sending your Defence.
Two things to check:
1) check your email sent folder to see if you sent the Defence to the right address, and
2) check your email spam folder. Maybe the auto-response went there.
Either way, it does no harm to send it again as CM suggests.

I sent my defence in today by email and immediately got an automated response saying it had been receieved, and due to covid anything requiring a response may take upto 10 days.
If you didnt get the automated response you may want to check the email address you sent it too.5 -
Well I tried again and still no email receipt. I phoned the MCOL this morning and the lady confirmed it was the correct email address and the attachment size at 1.4Mb was under under the 5Mb limit and that the sending emailing address (which is mine, not my son's or the one registered on MCOL) should not be a problem.Tried again, this time retyping the address as opposed to copy and paste and still no receipt. In the end I sent all the stuff to my son to send it from his gmail account (which incidentally is not the one registered on the MCOL site) and he go the receipt within a minute so at least it there before the deadline so can relax for now. I will double check to make sure ithe transaction does update on the claim though. So a bit bizarre. Nothing went in my junk or rejected (I have my own domain so I can see what is rejected) so no idea what is going off there, and I thought this was the easy part!3

If it's gmail (yours) maybe the receipt went into the 'social' or 'promotions' parts of the 3 way split inbox gmail has, unless you override it (which can be done)?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Nope, not gmail - they say they have their own domain, so their own mail server.
My guess, based on some knowledge, is that it didnt pass their spam filter. You got no auto-response because the handler daemon never saw your email.4 -
We have today received this letter offer for £125 (instead of £160 + £25). Obviously not going to accept it but is there any advice on what we should write back?

See you in court !!!
Seems a simple enough reply to me
Or thanks for the kind offer , I will accept your offer to pay me £125 for dropping the defence and we both walk away
As for the email issue , we tell most people to sign up to Gmail and use it just for purposes like this , keep it simple , follow the crowd , no fancy domains or iffy sites that don't pass their spam filter , good job you had time to fix it , most people who come here leave it until the last 5 minutes !!3
