Wrong registration on Parking charge notice from Premier parking solutions

Hi I received a parking ticket from premier parking solutions as my ticket had expired. I went online this morning to pay the ticket within the 14 days but I couldn't pay it because the parking attendant has put the wrong vehicle registration on the parking charge notice. I sure she has also taken pictures when issuing the ticket.
Am I still liable for the ticket due to her mistake and the wrong reg being on the ticket ? What should i do?

many Thanks

Edit your post to remove information about who did what. Only ever refer to The Driver and The Keeper, who are two different people as far as the law is concerned.

Do this NOW before you do anything else! The EDit button is the cog-like icon near the top right of your post. (Unfortunately you may find that as a new user you can't edit yet)

The Keeper has protections in law that The Driver does not.
    Parking scammers read this forum.

I'm not sure why you or anyone else would actually want or try to pay a parking scamvoice.

Keep the NTD safe and wait to see if a NTK arrives in the post. The Keeper will then be able to appeal, and if the VRM is correct on the NTK but not on the NTD then you having a winning appeal point as both must be the same.

It is possible that the incorrect VRM means The Keeper may never get a NTK. It is also possible that the scamtendant deliberately put the wrong VRNM on the scamvoice in the hope that someone would be daft enough to 'phine up and blab about the driver's identity, which is the worst thing you could do.

All the information you need can be found in the sticky thread for NEWBIERS that asks posters to read it before starting a thread.

The NEWBIES thread looks like this,

and is cunningly hidden in plain site just underneath where you clicked on the

     button.

In addition to the above, complain to the landowner and your MP about this unregulated scam.

Ask the board guide to edit yuour post, now.
You must not ID the driver
Ask them to change to "the drivers ticket had expired"
    Be very, very precise here
    Do you have
    1) a notice to driver, stuck on the windscreen or
    2) a notice to keeper, received through the post?
If 1, which i suspect, do NOTHING. Wait for them to send a Notice to Keeper. They will be unable to comply with POFA2012 because the notice to keeper will have YOUR VRM on it, and the notice to driver the incvorrect VRM. As this does not repeat the info, as required by pofa2012, no matter what else they write you are not lioable as keeper. If the driver is ever revealed, this protection goes away
If they claim in the NtK to be able to hold you, the keeper, liable, then thats a complaint to their ATA (who will do nowt) and to the DVLA
  • Thanks it is a 1) a notice to driver, stuck on the windscreen
How do i ask the board guide to edit my post ?

Send a PM to Crabman, savvy, or Soolin.

If you go to the NEWBIES, the sixth post is by Crabman so you can click on his username then send a message. Alternatively click on the message icon (envelope) at the top of this page and type in the board guide's username.

You should include a link to this thread as well.

Wrong VRNs are regarded by sme judges as not really breaches of contract at all, and a waste of court time, read

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP., it can cause the scammer extra costs, and in some cases, cancellation.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up later this year,

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these companies, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Why would ANYONE pay a PPS ticket? I mean, it is amazing that we still see a few people asking how to pay, as if it's a fine.  Please read the NEWBIES thread.   Any scope for a complaint to the landowner?

DO NOT SAY WHO WAS DRIVING.

I say do nothing and wait to see if they get your DVLA data, and then tell us when the NTK arrives in August.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
