Kinger, your logic is faultless, but I suspect that a depressingly large proportion of the economy is based on products that defy all logic!  I also fear that sales of chicken mcnuggets would only rise if McDs were able to advertise that "no chickens were harmed in the making of this meal!"

Merry christmas everyone!  Enjoy your sprilizers and reindeer socks.

Those who want to enter, just be aware of the merger voting date is 15-01-2021. The price will be very volatile around this date until the voting date for merger.
As soons as  the ticker symbol has changed, they will normally drop significantly (but not always the case) as many whales (PIPE, VC, Instituitonal investors) might be dumping their shares on that day.

If you want to invest please do your own DD, we take the gain gain we also need to take the pain (Loss) for our own decision.

Slack Technologies (WORK) & Salesforce (CRM) M&A.

We mentioned about the M&A of both companies about a month ago.

In the M&A the stock price direction is very predictable. The acquirers (CRM) share price will drop and the purchased company (WORK) will rise temporarily. This has been written in many investing literatures. Josh Brown an analyst who frequently appears on CNBC mentions this move as " a no brainer".

This is actually what has happened with WORK & CRM. After a nice jump, I just noticed that ARK Invest has started selling their WORK position gradually almost every single day since two weeks ago, a predictable move.

I have liquidated all of my slack position since last week. I have bought CRM since a few weeks ago and Keep DCA, hoping it to be back at long time high where I will consider selling it to release some money to be used for another move.

The key will be where the bottom you think will be with CRM and where the top will be with WORK. That is something I haven't quite mastered with other stocks, especially pennystocks. Get it wrong and your down 10-20% in losses or profits.

Unless they have a crystal ball, no one will be able to guess the very (rock) bottom. Many professionals are using the technical indicators to estimate that. A few examples of technical indicators you could use are candle stick (support and resistance area), Moving average, Bollinger Band, Stochastic, Relative strength index (RSI), MACD. All of this indicators have been used by professionals to estimate the best entry point into the market. But even with technical indicators, it is not 100% risk free. But Keep in mind you just need 60% right (say) to be a better off. Regarding WORK, ARK Invest have started selling their position since two weeks ago, also indicator have showm they have peaked.  ARK Invest have added their position in CRM since a month ago (If my memory serves well).

I am not a pro traders but I spend hundreds of hours learning it learn from profesional who provide free materials on YouTube. There are many of them on YouTube. Keep in mind there are also a lot of scammers on you tube, so it will need a good common sense to screen the one who try to scam peole such as buying their courses, invest in their funds, etc and the one who try to educate people. A good phrase I learn here is that, “learn from everyone, follow no one”.

There are a lof of them but a few good one I will recommend here to start with is Trading212 educational series.

    https://www.youtube.com/Trading212/videos

Another good one is from IG UK educational series

    Good advice Benzinga

The daily stock news, investing news to watch is CNBC, Bloomberg, Benzinga. Thanks to lockdown which allow me to have more free time to do what I do not normally do. Also, with the current interest rate of saving account which is currently on rock bottom will make people to look for another way of doing thing. In the past, I like many other people here are chasing the best interest rate from saving account, solely relying on my index/mutual fund. In the past there is very little incentive for people to invest in individual stock, to do swing trading as people could easily get 5% interest, “risk free” in a regular saving account. But nowadays the best you could get is 1%.pa. Also, keep in mind you still need to invest time to apply, filling the form, calling them, etc. It is better to use that time to learn a new skill. Nowadays I could easily get that 1% in less than a week.

The one that I also see agood thing to do is to watch what the professionals with vision in growth stocks are currently investing, the good one to follow: Ark invest, Blackrock, Baillie Gifford. You could easily get this information from their websites.

Regarding penny stock, it is very risky, because in many cases it is very vulnerable to manipulation by a group for manipulators due to their very low price. Even for people with good technical and fundamental knowledge who will check the balance sheet, the float (volume), whether there is pump and dumb, insider trading. It is still sort of a speculation as the technical indicatoers are not 100% error proof. The key here imho is to weight risk/reward ratio. It is a kind of speculation; but with a calculated risk. But is there any investment out their risk free? Even with index fund they are not free from the market crash are not they ?

But having said that I managed to get a few penny stocks that provide a very good return, 2-4X in just a few months, the one I have mentioned is Nano Dimension (NNDM) the other that just turn crazy is Foresight Autonomous (FRSX),. Aquabounty Technologies (AQB it start moving the right direction). The other which are not penny stocks will include stock in the EV markets such as NIO, TESLA, SBE, SPACs stocks, desruptive innovation. Lucky? Might be? But keep in mind everyone could easily see that these markets are growing they have a a predictable good Total Addressable Market (TAM).

I know many people fear of  losing money in investing in individual stocks, but there is something that will kill our fear. "knowledge".

Those who open to learn a new thing, there is world outside saving and index / mutual fund. I wish you luck and merry Christmas to all.

  • It’s suggested that Ajax's target is TransferWise. I'm not a big fan of SPACs although I bought SBE recently. You can get access to TransferWise through CHRY.

Do you not see these SPACs as being high risk/reward holdings.  They're not people with money to do it themselves, they are asking for you to invest in their ethos/though process in the hope it returns you a profit, and in return they charge a management fee.

Its win/win for them, and win/lose for you.

For the likes of TransferWise, etc, I hope they go to IPO rather than sellout.
