I have always asked the landlord if I can put up picture hooks, it’s never been refused yet.1

I've got command strips all over my house, they're great, and have been hanging up for years.
It's very important you follow the instructions. Apply to the wall side and press firmly all over for 25 seconds total I believe. Then leave them for 24hrs before hanging. I've done that on all my pictures and they're still there. The only one that's fallen down is the first I put up that I didn't follow instructions on.1 -
Please do your Landlord a favour and don't do this, or hang wallpaper without permission.When using the housing forum please use the sticky threads for valuable information.1 -
on plastered walls at least they work fab, but you need need to look at the weight they say they can take. I've hung heavier objects with the weight spread over several hooks successfully when I was renting.1
