  • OK thanks so are you saying do a AoS and file a defence? If you have the link for the defence template it would be much appreciated or point in the right direction as to where it can be found so I can get it done? Thank you once again

It's in a sticky thread (now known as 'Announcements', shown in a Red rectangle) at the top of the forum thread list. Hit your 'Back' button from this page and you'll see the thread list.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

What exactly didn't you understand in my earlier post?

That's a serious question because it is pretty pointless posting stuff if no-one understands it.
  • Update on the claim. Went to mediation and came to an agreement they didn't take the defence into account as they see this many of times. All sorted and closed now. Thanks for the pointers in your comments and responses.

Hang on, you AGREED TO MEDIATION AND SETTLED?   Despite the clear advice here never to do either?
Your choice - your loss - but why come here if you fail to follow the advice and actually think Mediation meant something.

What was the settlement cost - so we have an idea, in order to advise others, what PPCs are settling at?

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP., it can cause the scammer extra costs and work, and in some cases, cancellation.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, and an independent appeals service will be set up,

opefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.
