Claim form from Bank Park Management

In 2018 I parked on a private car park, that had always been free but must have recently changed to pay and display. The ANPR camera has picked up my registration and they have issued a pcn (parking charge). Letters sent to my old address due to a house move but the claim form has now come to my current address. Do I stand anywhere with offering the payment of the first charge as they are now wanting to charge me £256?

I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

MarlainaC said:Hi. Thanks the issue date is 8th July 2020With a Claim Issue Date of 8th July, you have until Monday 27th July to file an Acknowledgment of Service. If possible, do not file an AoS before 13th July, but otherwise, there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.To file an AoS, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.Having filed an AoS, you have until 4pm on Monday 10th August 2020 to file your Defence. That's over four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute. To create a Defence, and then file a Defence, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service instructions.Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.3

now this is one company if you don't live close to Sheffield and have the court many miles away is one where id threaten the director (who signs the witness statement) with a witness summons to appear at any hearing many miles away.
Now I know this a tactic will only work with a few firms and this is IMHO is one of them.
Makes them squim...... its something I think we should be using on this forum against the right targets2 -
Same boring sc#mmers business model
Issue loads of PCN, s followed by court claims within 6 years due to remaining unpaid , especially in a pandemic as well as Intu going into administration
Then ask for ridiculous sums that are an abuse of process2 -

Do I stand anywhere with offering the payment of the first charge as they are now wanting to charge me £256?Why would you do that, when these are easy to beat and we see 99% wins here, and will walk you through it?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
