Emoji box nowhere near where typing

Not sure if this is just me.
When you type a colon : a box appears with some Emoji in and you can then type a letter beside the colon and depending on the letter you get a different choice.
All this is fine and well but the box showing the Emoji does not appear beside where you type any more but at the top of the screen so much so that half the box is missing and you need to scroll the screen down.

I am using Edge on a PC running Windows 10

You can pres the windows key and the dot together to load the built in W10 emojis  😛

Yes but that does not fix the problem on this site.

I didn't know about getting emojis pressing the colon, so thank you for the info.  
And yes, the emoji box appears off the screen for me as well and I'm using chrome with W7
