EBay usually allow an extra day on their delivery estimates so was probably technically in time. I think you were lucky to get your shipping costs refunded and wouldn’t be looking for anything more.

Yes I was promised it would arrive on Thursday. I paid for next day delivery and it clearly stated on the listing “orders before 2pm will be sent the same day”.

I don’t know what I have done wrong and why you would block me?
I think you just have to chalk it down to experience. As I said, deliveries are rarely "guaranteed" - there are too many variables for a retailer to account for to cast iron promise something will be there the next day - and there is no way they can be realistically accountable for consequential losses or inconvenience.
I mean, if you have suffered an actual measurable financial loss then you could ask them to reimburse you or you could take them to court I guess.
But it's probably not worth the hassle and stress.

I have made several purchase both online and via bay in the last few weeks, in my experiance retailers are over estimating the delivery date and then delivering well within the timescales
For example I ordered some bicycle tyres on the 7th July (Tuesday), estimated delivery 13th July (Monday), just received an email, out for delivery, should be with me between 11:00Am and 1:00 PM today
