I guess it depends what you mean by a link on Facebook.  If the company only has a presence on Facebook then I would be quite wary personally.  If however they use Facebook as a means to advertise and generate engagement then that would be perfectly legitimate, many businesses do this.  Check out their actual website, assuming they have one, check how your money is protected, search for independent reviews, etc.

Not through Facebook but I've booked two holidays for forthcoming School holidays through Lux Camp
Good prices compared to eurocamp
