I get 21 points on LCW (1b, 9; 3c, 6; 9b, 6) as well. And since I declared that from day 1 in April 2019, they're gonna owe me a lot of backdated money that I don't want to lose if my claim is cancelled and I have to restart it after getting a WCA through ESA!
If you applied in April 2019 what has happened that has stopped you getting a WCA decision?
Nothing, I've just been waiting for one
Received and returned UC50 in December

edit: oh, it did take them a good few months to agree that I could even supply a fit note when I'm in work (4 hours a week, digitally, £175 pcm, "you can't say you're not fit to work when you work"), so that might have been part of it.

I honestly though this was normal though, bureaucracy tends to take about 18 months to get anything done in my experience, no? my PIP wait for assessment was just under 2 years, took almost 3 to get an on-paper medical assessment for a drivers licence

That's ridiculous. If you have a Fit Note from a doctor saying you have a health condition that limits your ability to work you are untitled to be referred for a WCA unless you have earnings over 16 x NMW/week - but the earnings limit doesn't apply if you already have a disability benefit.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.

Yeah, eventually they accepted that but they weren't, and still aren't, happy with me about it. At the same time, it took a long time to get them to give me the 1 room housing allowance that disabled people on PIP are entitled to, and they wouldn't backdate it either, claiming I'd had a spare room before (nope, I was a lodger renting the one bedroom, and that's not how it works anymore regardless) and it just happened to work out to the exact same amount down to the penny

I think they view fitness to work as black or white? Either there is absolutely no way you could do any type of employment right now at all no matter what (and yeah maybe you can in the future or maybe you can't) - or you're fine.

But it's really not like that at all; I CAN work. Some types of work. With extensive workplace adaptations like a hoist. Or like testing apps for accessibility, which is what I do for that £175 a month. I will never be able to be a builder or plumber's assistant or bartender, no matter how many times they tell me to me apply for those jobs!

Quinq, sounds like you've had a very poor experience (or 'journey' as DWP might choose to call it) on UC. Quite wrong that you should have initially been denied the correct housing element.

You can say that again! I got a new work coach around christmas though and she's v good; much more understanding, much more willing to listen. Whereas my previous one had told me I wasn't "allowed" to spend time applying to uni when I could spend it looking for work, my new work coach is super supportive, was happy to move appointments when I had interviews at universities, etc
I just want to get this damn WCA sorted so I can move on!

    Okay, update!
No one seems to have any clue what's going on! OP's question has been answered though so I think I ought to start a new thread
